Great food, mix of Californian and Japanese! Lots of different drinks, really cozy, dim lit and stylish atmosphere. Easy to strike up conversations with the people here. Doan's from the states so easy for English speakers! He's also super easy to talk to! This place is also situated in the middle of the drinking district which is always practical!

Don was fantastic. Made it a priority to get here based on some local recommendations and it was 100% worth it. Fantastic conversation, wonderful insights and a lovely evening of great company and amazing drinks! He is very knowledgeable about the area and about Japanese culture. Walked away feeling like we learned some things! If you are in the area make sure you get to this spot! Ps. The Shirley Temple is amazing ;)

Masadon is a special place !! The owner is Californian and can advise you on the best places to go such as the Izakaya of his friend Shuujuu (another incredible place ... where you eat with wonder and where you will be treated as friends). I highly recommend !!
